Civil War
The first trailer for “Ex Machina” and “Annihilation” director Alex Garland’s new film “Civil War” will reportedly debut next month via distributor A24. The film scored an MPA rating in June and has test screened a few times.

Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Cailee Spaeny and Karl Glusman star in the film which is rumored to be about a group of journalists trying to break into the White House to interview the President while a civil war is breaking out. [Source: World of Reel]

Opus
Ayo Edebiri, John Malkovich, Murray Bartlett, Amber Midthunder, Stephanie Suganami, Young Mazino and Tatanka Means will star and Juliette Lewis is in talks for Mark Anthony Green’s debut horror feature “Opus” at A24. The story is said to center on an iconic pop star’s return following his decades-long disappearance. [Source: Deadline]

Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft
Netflix has released a new featurette about the making of its upcoming animated series “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft” based on one of the most iconic video game franchises ever made.

Hayley Atwell voices Lara Croft in the series set after the events of the 2013 to 2018 video game reboot trilogy with Lara now having become a full-fledged treasure hunter.

Tasha Huo serves as showrunner on the series which is produced by Legendary Entertainment, Crystal Dynamics and Powerhouse Animation Studios (“Castlevania”).

Yu Yu Hakusho
Netflix has premiered the teaser trailer for its live-action adaptation of Yoshihiro Togashi’s manga “Yu Yu Hakusho” which will premiere worldwide on December 14th.

The story follows Yusuke, a teenage delinquent killed by a car whilst saving a young child. He is resurrected as an ‘Underworld Detective’ and tasked with investigating supernatural activity within the land of the living.

Merry Little Batman
New photos are out for Prime Video’s animated family action comedy holiday special “Merry Little Batman” which will debut on December 8th.

When young Damian Wayne finds himself alone in Wayne Manor on Christmas Eve, he must transform into’“Little Batma’” in order to defend his home and Gotham City from the crooks and supervillains intent on destroying the holidays. [Source: Amazon]
