Things are about to get a little messy as Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios release the official teaser trailer for their upcoming animated sequel Inside Out 2. View trailer below.

Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone. Maya Hawke lends her voice to Anxiety, alongside Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust.

Oh wow…. totally forgot about this movie coming out, but I do welcome this “first look” at the upcoming project. Inside Out was indeed a “rollercoaster” of emotions type of animated movie, one that really speaks to Pixar’s signature style of humor and heart and effectively did it with maximum potential. This teaser trailer for Inside Out 2 sees the return of Riley’s emotions and the sudden appearance of new one, which means that Riley is entering her teenage years, which promises a lot of new emotions and feelings for her to navigate. I do have a few reservations about this movie, which are mostly due to the fact that it is a sequel and how could the film top the original one. In the end, I’m quite intrigued to see what Inside Out 2 has to offer and how the story of Riley’s emotions (new and old) will play out in the film’s narrative.

Inside Out 2  opens in theaters on June 14th, 2024
