
Nemesis
Netflix has renewed “Power” creator Courtney A. Kemp’s new series “Nemesis” for a second season, the renewal coming six weeks after the series premiered and spent five weeks in the streamer’s worldwide top 10 for English-language series.
Y’Lan Noel stars in the series as a master thief while Matthew Law plays an LAPD detective obsessed with bringing him to justice. Cleopatra Coleman, Tre Hale, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jonnie Park, Ariana Guerra, Gabrielle Dennis, Michael Potts, Sophina Brown, Cedric Joe and Jeff Pierre also star. [Source: THR]
Dexter: Resurrection
Despite the fate of her character in the first season, actress Krysten Ritter will return for the second season run of “Dexter: Resurrection”. No word on how she returns or the extent of her role, but she will join fellow first season returnee Uma Thurman. [Source: TV Line]
The Pitt
Six actors have joined the cast of the third season of HBO’s “The Pitt” in recurring roles. Pruitt Taylor Vince (“Superman”) plays ED patient Lance ‘The Professor’ Candella, while Malachi Beasley (“A House of Dynamite”) and Cheyenne Perez (“The Sex Lives of College Girls”) play student doctors.
Also joining are Jeremy Radin (“The Accountant 2”) plays patient Grant Emerson, Charlz Williams (“Seal Team”) is patient Angus ‘Trigger’ Gunn, and Rosanny Zayas (“The L Word: Generation Q”) plays a physician assistant. Wonka’s The Golden Ticket
Netflix has premiered the trailer for “Wonka’s The Golden Ticket,” a new “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”-themed reality competition series in which people compete in challenges taking place in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. The series arrives on the service on September 23rd.
X-Men ’97
Marvel has just premiered a new clip from the second season of its acclaimed animated series “X-Men ’97,” a clip which boasts a surprise cameo from Thor. The clip sees Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Jubilee struggling against the four Final Horsemen.
Storm, Wolverine, and Morph then arrive as reinforcements. The new clip comes ahead of the show’s second season premiere tomorrow on the Disney+ service.
