By Honor and survival collide in the high-stakes wuxia crime drama The Butcher’s Blade, slicing its way onto digital platforms via Well Go USA Entertainment.
Directed by Liu Wenpu, the film follows Xue Buyi, a low-ranking but principled constable who finds himself framed for the disappearance of disaster relief funds. Branded a criminal and abandoned by the system he once served, Xue is pushed to the brink – until a mentor offers him a way out. But that path comes with a cost.
Taking a job with a shadowy enforcement group that serves only those who can pay, Xue is forced into a dangerous moral crossroads. The film stars Liu Fengchao, Yuan Fufu, and Chunyu Shanshan, delivering a blend of martial arts action and gritty intrigue.
