By Following its premiere on “Good Morning America,” Marvel Studios has released the teaser trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” – timed just right for February 4th (F4).
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, the film introduces Marvel’s First Family – Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) – as they face their most daunting challenge yet.
The group must protect their home from being devoured by the cosmic being Galactus and his enigmatic herald, the Silver Surfer, with reports suggesting Galactus has a fixation on Reed & Sue’s child.
The film’s cast includes Ralph Ineson, Julia Garner, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich and Natasha Lyonne. Shot at Pinewood Studios in London and partly in Spain, Matt Shakman directs from a script by Jeff Kaplan, Ian Springer, Josh Friedman, Cameron Squires, Eric Pearson, Peter Cameron
A cut down version of the trailer is expected to air during the Super Bowl on Sunday, while this trailer will likely be attached to copies of Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World” which opens in cinemas next Friday.
“Fantastic Four: The First Steps” is slated to hit cinemas in July this year.
