NBC has cancelled its medical drama “Brilliant Minds” after two seasons and its mockumentary comedy “Stumble” after one.
The Zachary Quinto-led “Brilliant Minds,” based on the books by Oliver Sacks, follows a Bronx neurology physician and his team as they delve into medical mysteries of the mind.
The first season ran in late 2024, the second aired 14 of its 20 episodes late last year, and will burn off the remaining six on May 27th.
“Stumble” follows a celebrated cheerleading coach (Jenn Lyon) fired after being caught drinking with her team. She winds up coaching at a junior college in Oklahoma and tries to put together a team to win the national championship.
The show was well-received by critics but failed to score an audience, ending its run back in March. Taran Killam, Ryan Pinkston, Jarrett Austin Brown and Taylor Dunbar co-starred.
The only two NBC series currently awaiting verdicts are the Tracy Morgan-led “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins” and the drama “The Hunting Party”.
