The other day, the news came that “The Boys” spin-off “Gen V” had been cancelled after two seasons on Prime Video.

Turns out franchise creator Eric Kripke had a Season 3 storyline already mapped out. In fact, he now suggests that the scrapped plotline and some of its characters could show up elsewhere in the Vought Universe.

Kripke tells EW he was “fighting to keep the show, almost more than anybody else on Earth” and was bummed when word came of the cancellation.

He says he and his team, who are currently making the “Vought Rising” prequel series right now, may continue further as Amazon is open to other works set in this world:

“It’s very early days, because we’re focusing on getting Vought Rising out into the world, but Amazon has expressed an interest and they want to hear more potential stories in the world.

So we’re internally brainstorming a couple different ideas. We’ll see which ones get traction, but they all have the opportunity to absorb at least some of the Gen V gang, and that’s very much by design.

We’re still hopeful we can find a way to do it. So, unfortunately, I can’t share it. This idea that Marie is powerful, but that’s not the end of her story. She has to learn how to control it.”

“The Boys” is currently in the midst of airing its final season with the series finale now slated to air on May 20th.
