Filming on Marvel Studios’ “Spider-Man: Brand-New Day” is set to kick off on August 1st in Glasgow, Scotland. Production crews for the film started arriving last month.

The Herald broke the news about the film’s production start in the city, with a large number of streets set to close to accommodate filming. Letters to residents advising them of the filming confirm that some scenes will involve vehicles.

Up to half a dozen streets at a time are being closed for shooting that will run for two weeks across Glasgow city centre.

Check out The Herald for the specific road closures and dates. The project is being shot under the working title “Blue Oasis”.

“Shang-Chi” director Destin Daniel Cretton takes the helm of the film which co-stars Tom Holland, Sadie Sink, Zendaya and more. Story specifics are under wraps.

The majority of the shoot is expected to take place at the UK’s Pinewood Studios where preproduction has been underway for at least several weeks.

Shooting will run across the remainder of the year with post-production racing to finish in time for the July 31st 2026 release date currently set.
