Max and ID have landed the U.S. rights to the two-part Channel 4 documentary “Spacey Unmasked”. No air date for the U.S. has been set as yet.
The doco, set to air May 6-7th in the UK, looks at actor Kevin Spacey’s career and subsequent various allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct. Unseen archival footage is also shown as are interviews with actors.
It boasts interviews with “multiple men unconnected to that case about their experiences with Kevin Spacey, almost all of whom have never spoken before.”
Spacey’s career came to a halt in 2017 after he was accused of making sexual advances on then-14-year-old Anthony Rapp in 1986.
More allegations came forward after that, leading to Netflix cutting ties with Spacey – removing him from the final season of the series “House of Cards”.
Earlier this year, a U.K. jury found Kevin Spacey not guilty of nine charges of sexual assault, indecent assault, and more. It follows on from a New York jury who also found Spacey not guilty.
The two-parter is directed by Katherine Haywood and produced by Dorothy Byrne and Mike Lerner.
