Vin Diesel has offered a brief behind-the-scenes look at “Fast Forever,” the eleventh and final film in “The Fast and Furious” franchise which is currently in production.
In his video post, Diesel says: “I’m on set. People are grinding. Incredible crews are working” before thanking fans for being patient as they’ve spent the past three and a half years “grinding to try to make the most amazing finale”.
He briefly touched upon other projects, including a “Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots” movie he’ll star in and write for Mattel Studios.
Michael Lesslie is penning the new film with “Fast X” helmer Louis Leterrier returning. The project should pick up in the aftermath of “Fast X,” which ended with Dom (Diesel) and his son (Leo Abelo Perry) trying to escape from a trap created by Dante (Jason Momoa).
How many of the cast will return is not clear. “Fast X” also included Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, John Cena, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson, Helen Mirren, Brie Larson, Rita Moreno, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson.
The various films of the franchise have grossed over $7.4 billion at the worldwide box office. “Fast Forever” hits cinemas on March 17th 2028.
