The first photos are out of “Superman” star David Corenswet in the biopic “Mr. Irrelevant: The John Tuggle Story” which opens in cinemas on Christmas Day.

People Magazine published the photos from the Skydance Sports title which also stars Isabel May as his love Katie, Michael Shannon as New York Giants coach Bill Parcells and David Krumholtz as Julius “Whitey” Horai.

Corenswet plays John Tuggle, the running back who was given the ‘Mr. Irrelevant’ moniker after being the last pick of the last round of the 1983 NFL draft.

He became the first player in league history picked last in the draft to make the NFL on the team that drafted him.

He died just a few years later from cancer at the age of 25, leaving behind an enduring impact on his team and teammates.

Jonathan Levine is directing while Emmy-nominated writer and “Reacher” showrunner Nick Santora is penning the script for Paramount Pictures. Gillian Bohrer will produce with Santora and Levine.
