The numbers for Universal Pictures’ “Jurassic World Rebirth” keep climbing, especially overseas where the movie is doing major business.

The film is currently on track for a $313 million worldwide opening, more than $50 million over the projections touted as recently as early last week.

It’s the second biggest global opening of the year behind only “A Minecraft Movie,” and the second biggest opening for any “Jurassic” film behind only the first “Jurassic World”.

Broken down, the film is looking to hit $141.2 million domestically and $171.3 million overseas by end of Sunday. Domestically it took in $26.3 million on July 4th, the best haul for that holiday since the pandemic.

PostTrak exit polls confirm that the film is scoring higher ‘definite recommend’ scores than the previous film ‘Dominion’.

Internationally, the film is big in Australia where it had the biggest opening day of the year, China where it was the biggest opening day for a Hollywood film this year, and France where it had the second biggest opening day for the year.
