Each year, The International Screenwriters’ Association compiles a list of the 25 screenwriters to watch. This year, Film Inquiry is here to guide you through the incredible list of gifted individuals!

Our first interview is with the multi-talented screenwriter and novel writer Kim Hornsby. I spoke with Kim about her journey, projects, and recommendations for other screenwriters!

Here is her bio from the ISA website:

KIM HORNSBY once had a stalker when she was a lounge singer on Maui. Years later, in Canada, her life was verbally threatened by a stranger, and the RCMP was called in. That’s probably why she writes women in suspenseful situations getting even with stalkers. She also loves to immerse her vivid imagination in Rom Coms and Christmas. As a produced and multi-optioned screenwriter as well as a USA TODAY Bestselling Author, Kim has sixteen published novels and as many screenplays and scripts in her portfolio.

The summer of ’24 will see Kim’s Family Adventure movie, BRAVING RAPIDS on screens, her holiday Rom Com, CHRISTMAS IN CRYSTAL CREEK, filming with Kim as producer, and her Lifetime Thriller in production. As a producer, she has two Horror movies with 2024 Halloween release dates.

Kim develops scripts from concept with producers as well as having a large portfolio of specs. Her bestselling supernatural suspense feature, adapted from her book series, THE DREAM JUMPER’S PROMISE has placed in over 20 screenwriting contests and is listed on The Originals Bureau List.

She is represented by the Corvisiero Literary Agency in both books and scripts with Tessa Shaffer and Marisa Corvisiero.
