Universal Pictures and Apple Original Films have premiered a new poster for “Kingsman” and “Kick-Ass” director Matthew Vaughn’s spy thriller “Argylle” which opens in cinemas on February 2nd 2024.
Jason Fuchs penned the script for the film which has been dubbed a “razor-witted, reality-bending, globe-encircling spy thriller” though from the recent trailer seems more a send-up of the genre.
Bryce Dallas Howard stars as Elly Conway, a reclusive but successful author whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat.
Such quiet evenings are a thing of the past when the plots of her fictional best-selling espionage novels, about a secret agent named Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate, begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization.
Soon, Elly and cat-allergic spy Aiden (Sam Rockwell) race across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begins to blur.
John Cena, Ariana DeBose, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Sofia Boutella, Samuel L. Jackson and pop superstar Dua Lipa co-star. Vaughn directs and produces the project.
