“Cobra Kai” co-creator Hayden Schlossberg has confirmed a few new details about the upcoming sixth and final season of the beloved “The Karate Kid” sequel series.
Schlossberg has confirmed on X that the final run will consist of ten episodes in all as per usual, however he adds that the “total runtime for the full season will be the longest”.
All five previous seasons of the series consisted of ten episodes each no matter if they premiered on YouTube or Netflix, however the runtimes have considerably varied.
It’s not clear if the roomier runtime will spread over multiple episodes, but he does confirm the last episode is going to be a long one.
Filming on the new season is expected to begin in the next few days with the new dojo name to be revealed in the first episode. He adds that they’re “trying to get it [Season 6] out ASAP” and the goal is for a 2024 release window.
The new run has cast C.S. Lee in the role of Master Kim Sun-Yung, grandfather of Kim Da-Eun.
