FOX and actor Stephen Amell have premiered a very brief look at the upcoming reboot of the iconic 1990s TV series “Baywatch”.
The 15-second clip includes looks at Amell as a grown-up version of the original show’s Hobie Buchannon alongside Brooks Nader, Jessica Belkin and Livvy Dunne.
In the show, Amell’s Hobie is now a Baywatch captain, following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Mitch (David Hasselhoff).
Hobie’s world is turned upside down when Charlie (Jessica Belkin), the daughter he never knew, shows up on his doorstep, eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy and become a Baywatch lifeguard alongside her dad.
The series, which secured a $21.1 million tax credit from the California Film Commission, is filming in Los Angeles through July.
The series also stars Shay Mitchell as Trina, Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Noah Beck as Luke, Nader as Selene and Dunne as Grace.
In addition, David Chokachi and Erika Eleniak will reprise their original series roles as Cody Madison and Shauni McClain. McG directed the series premiere which is expected to air in January.
