The last few days has been a busy one for Marvel rumors, most of which sound speculative at best.

First up, former “Captain America” actor Chris Evans has shot down one of those rumors for several weeks back. Thst rumor suggested he, Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson among others were being sought to reunite on screen for an upcoming “Avengers” film.

Appearing on “The View” this morning, Evans was asked about his rumored return. He laughed and said:

“You know, I always see those reports too, and it’s news to me. I think every couple months, someone says that they’re getting Downey, and Hemsworth, and Scarlet [Johansson], and everyone’s coming back!. No one’s spoken to me about it. And look, I would never say never, but I really – I’m very protective. It’s a very precious role to me, so it would have to be just right.”

Another person who has commented on some much older talk is Jon Hamm. The former “Mad Men” star was rumored to make an appearance in Fox’s “The New Mutants” as Mr. Sinister – which didn’t happen.

Speaking to Screen Rant recently while promoting the new season of “Fargo,” Hamm says he’s quite keen to be a part of the MCU:

“I would love to. I’ve been a fan of Marvel Comics and comics in general since I was probably single digits. I think there are tons of stories that I’m familiar with, at least, that are still out there to be told. Hopefully, whatever their plans are, they include me… I hope I get a chance. Who knows?”

The talk follows on from reports on the weekend from scoopers like DanielRPK and MyTimeToShineHello suggesting films currently in development at Marvel Studios including new “Eternals,” “Doctor Strange,” “Black Panther” and “Thor” sequels along with new seasons of “Moon Knight,” “She-Hulk” and “Ms. Marvel”. Another report suggested Cillian Murphy is up for the role of Doctor Doom which is expected to be a cameo in “Fantastic Four”. Take all that talk with a very big grain of salt though.
