
“Sinners” won the top honour of best performance by an ensemble at tonight’s 32nd annual Actor Awards (previously known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards). The film’s star, Michael B. Jordan, also walked away with a Best Actor honour.
Other winners on the night included Jessie Buckley (“Hamnet”) taking Best Actress, Sean Penn (“One Battle After Another”) taking Best Supporting Actor, and Amy Madigan (“Weapons”) winning Best Supporting Actress.
On the TV front, “The Pitt” won for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series and Noah Wyle took Best Actor in a Drama Series, while Keri Russell won Best Actress in a Drama Series for “The Diplomat”.
“The Studio” won for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series, with Seth Rogen and the late Catherine O’Hara taking the Best Actor/Actress honours in that category.
On the limited series front, Michelle Williams won Best Actress for “Dying for Sex” while Owen Cooper won Best Actor for “Adolescence”.
Winners for the Best Stunt Ensemble were also announced, with “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” taking film, while “The Last of Us” took television.
Woody Harrelson presented a Life Achievement Award to Harrison Ford. Kristen Bell hosted the ceremony, which took place at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles and was screened on Netflix.
