Jane Eyre
Aimee Lou Wood (“The White Lotus,” “Sex Education”) has signed on for the title role in the upcoming series adaptation of Charlotte Brontë’s “Jane Eyre”. Miriam Battye (“Succession”) is writing and producing the series for Working Title. Ruth Wilson and Mia Wasikowska played the role in the 2006 mini-series and 2011 film respectively. The Magnificent Seven
Oscar nominee Matt Dillon (“Crash”) has been set to portray the character Chris Adams in the reimagined series adaptation of classic western “The Magnificent Seven” for the MGM+ service. Yul Brynner played the role in the original.

Adams is the leader of seven gunslingers during the 1880s American frontier who sign onto the task of protecting a group of innocent Quaker villagers from a ruthless land baron hellbent on stealing their land. Bride Wars
Emma Roberts is set to star in a TV series adaptation of the Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson-led 2009 romantic comedy “Bride Wars” at Peacock. Emmy Award winner Sascha Rothchild (“GLOW”) is writing and executive producing.

Roberts will be taking on the role of a wedding planner who is newly arrived to North Carolina and will soon find herself competing against a fellow beloved local planner. [Source: Deadline]

Yellowjackets
Both Molly Ringwald and June Squibb are set to join Showtime’s mystery survival series “Yellowjackets” for its fourth and final season. Ringwald will play mother of Lauren Ambrose’s Van, a recovering alcoholic doing her best to make amends.

Squibb’s role is presently unknown. The final season is expected to see the younger versions of the characters rescued and attempting reacclimation to the world. [Source: Vulture]

Stranger Things: Tales from ’85
“Marty Supreme” actress Odessa A’zion has joined the cast of the upcoming animated series “Stranger Things: Tales from ’85” which is set between the second and third seasons of the main show.

A’zion will play Nikki Baxter, a 14-year-old transfer student from the East Coast and a pivotal new character introduced in the animated continuation of the story which premieres April 23rd. The character is said to be designed as an entry point to welcome new audiences. [Source: Collider]
