The Book of Boba Fett has just finished and social media is alive with reviews of the show. Most of them are pretty critical. You can see the LMO review here.
Literally, the day after the reviews pour in, Disney could be trying to placate the fans. This time by dropping details about the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
Ewan McGregor is back as Obi-Wan, in the live-action series that will be set about 10 years after Revenge of the Sith. The Jedi Master has faced defeat, the downfall, and corruption of his BFF Anakin and seen him turn into Darth Vader.
We also know that Hayden Christenson will reprise his role as Anakin, well, Vader.
Other cast members are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
The series is executive-produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor, and Joby Harold. Here’s a picture of Kathleen to anger up the blood.
The release date for the show will be on the 45th anniversary of the release of Star Wars: A New Hope, 25th May. There is also a poster.
You could cut off the bottom of that poster and write Dune underneath it and no one would notice.
I have said this before, and I will carry on saying it, Disney buying Star Wars is the worst thing that happened. The buyout took place in 2012. Ten years later and we have two half- decent movies, three awful canon movies, a great TV show, and now a pretty crappy one.
