You might have heard of Something Very Bad is Going to Happen; it’s basically a new series produced by the Duffer Brothers. They have just finished working on a popular TV series, Stranger Things, or as we know it in the UK, Bit Odd, In It?
The Duffers are off to Paramount soon, but are serving as executive producers on Something Very Bad is Going to Happen. The story is:
A certain atmosphere of horror is felt the week before the celebration of an unfortunate wedding.
The cast is Camila Morrone, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ted Levine, Zlatko Buric, Gus Birney, and Karla Crome. Haley Z. Boston is the creator of the show, who wrote some of GDT’s Cabinet of Curiosities.
The Duffer Brothers said about Haley’s script for Something Very Bad is Going to Happen:
“We were knocked flat when we first read Haley’s script. She is a major new talent with a singular voice — her writing is twisted, terrifying, funny, and just… very Haley. We feel so lucky to be producing her first show, and we can’t wait to share her vision with the rest of the world.”
We all know that’s ‘producer’ talk, but the Duffers did create something pretty big with Stranger Things. OK, it wasn’t Shakespeare, but it was solid for the most part.
