Warner Bros. Pictures has announced a number of new dates for films on its late 2026 and 2027 release slate.

The biggest news is the official announcement of the next “The Conjuring” film “The Conjuring: First Communion” which will open on September 10th 2027.

Rodrigue Huart will direct from a script by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg. James Wan and Peter Safran will also be attached to produce the project, which is believed to be a prequel.

Next, Sam Esmail’s new film “Panic Carefully” for February 26th 2027. Following their collaborations on the series “Homecoming” and the film “Leave The World Behind,” Julia Roberts re-teams with Esmail on this film, which revolves around the hunt for a cyber-terrorist.

Eddie Redmayne, Brian Tyree Henry, Ben Chaplin, Aidan Gillen, Joe Alwyn, Naledi Murray, and Elizabeth Olsen co-star in the film that Esmail writes and directs, which will also hit IMAX cinemas that day.

Then, an untitled sci-fi movie starring Keanu Reeves has been set for August 13th 2027. Originally called “Shiver,” Tim Miller directs the project from a script by Ian Shorr.

The film follows a smuggler who finds himself in the middle of a deadly double-cross while on a job in the Caribbean Sea surrounded by corpses, hostile mercenaries, and hungry sharks. He becomes caught in a time loop and must break the cycle.

Finally, the J.J. Abrams-directed action adventure film “The Great Beyond” has been set for November 13th this year. The story follows a young married couple struggling to survive against a supernatural entity.

Cast includes Glen Powell, Jenna Ortega, Emma Mackey, Samuel L. Jackson, Sophie Okonedo and Merritt Wever. It marks Abrams first directorial effort since “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”.
