“Casino Royale,” “Hannibal” and “Another Round” star Mads Mikkselsen has joined the cast of Martin Scorsese’s new film “What Happens at Night” at Studiocanal reports The Insneider.

The project marks the seventh time Scorsese and DiCaprio have worked together on a film following “Gangs of New York,” “The Aviator,” “The Departed,” “Shutter Island,” “The Wolf of Wall Street” and “Killers of the Flower Moon”.

Character details are being kept under wraps. The dream-like story follows a married American couple who travel to a small, snowy European town to adopt a baby.

They check into a cavernous, largely deserted hotel where they encounter an enigmatic cast of characters, including a flamboyant chanteuse, a depraved businessman and a charismatic faith healer. Nothing is quite as it seems in this strange, frozen world.

As the couple struggle to claim their baby, the less they seem to know about themselves and the life they’ve built together. Patrick Marber penned the script based on the Peter Cameron novel.

Jennifer Lawrence co-stars in the film, with further casting to be announced shortly ahead of shooting kicking off next month. Oscar-nominated cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto is also attached to the project.
