Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Sony Pictures’ “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has crossed $800 million domestically after 19 days. That makes it the fastest film to hit the mark and only the fourth movie ever to do so. Worldwide, the film is already the sixth highest-grossing movie in history at $2.04 billion. [Source: Variety]

Theo of Golden
Warner Bros. Pictures is in negotiations for the feature film rights to Allen Levi‘s breakout 2023 novel “Theo of Golden” with Tom Hanks said to be in talks to play the title character. Gil Netter, Gary Goetzman and Hanks will produce.

Set in the fictional town of Golden, a man named Theo arrives and purchases pencil portraits of locals that are displayed in a coffee shop. He returns them to each subject, and these visits reveal stories and relationships, and they lead to Theo to come to terms with tragedy in his past. [Source: Deadline]

X-Men
He just finished “Elden Ring,” but actor Kit Connor isn’t slowing down ahead of filming his role as Cyclops in “X-Men”. The 22-year-old actor has been photographed alongside personal trainer Mark Humphreyes putting time in at the gym which has gotten people talking about his look for Cyclops and whether he’s actually ‘too bulky’ for the role.

Family Movie
The slasher film “Family Movie,” starring real life husband-and-wife Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick along with their kids Travis and Sosie, will be hitting U.S. theaters in North America on April 23rd 2027 via distributor Variance. Liza Koshy, John Carroll Lynch, Jackie Earle Haley, Andrea Savage, Austin Amelio, and Scoot McNairy co-star.

The film world premiered at SXSW to 93% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and follows a filmmaking family, the Smiths, and their low-budget horror movie which turns into a real-life slasher when a dead body shows up on set. Sacrifice
The first photos are out from Romain Gavras’s new film “Sacrifice” starring Chris Evans, Anya Taylor-Joy, Salma Hayek Pinault, John Malkovich, Vincent Cassel and Charli xcx. The project, releasing on the service on October 16th, was mostly shot in a gigantic marble mine in Northern Greece.

Evans plays an insecure movie star looking to rebuild his image after a viral meltdown. And his step back into the spotlight starts at an environmental charity gala where a radical group violently interrupt the night on their mission to fulfill a volcanic prophecy and cleanse the planet.
