Paramount has cancelled the “NCIS” spin-off series “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” after just one season.
The series served as a spin-off of the extremely popular main “NCIS: series and followed fan favourites and former NCIS Special Agents Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo).
In the series, they join forces with a mysterious tech program to try and solve the crime of another group stealing money from Interpol.
Isla Gie, Amita Suman, Lara Rossi, Maximilian Osinski, Anne-Marie Waldeck, Julian Ovenden, James D’Arcy, Nassima Benchicou, Terence Maynard, Emmanuel Bonami, and Sean Pertwee co-starred.
Weatherly and de Pablo thanked fans, the cast, and the crew in a statement following the show’s axing. The series premiered on September 4th and ran through October with 10 episodes in total.
With that cancellation, three “NCIS” series are currently on the air – “NCIS,” “NCIS: Origins” in the midst of its second season, and “NCIS: Sydney” in the midst of its third season.
