The latest Marvel and Sony co-blockbuster, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, will have to deal with a slight filming delay after lead star on Holland was injured on set.

Production will have to be shut down for one week as they were in the midst of filming Peter Parker-centric stunt scenes when Tom Holland suffered a head injury filming one sequence.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor suffered a minor concussion as the protocol requires a a lot of caution around head injuries.

The incident happened on Friday, and will not affect the release date.

Holland attended a charity event the day afterwards in support of a foundation he runs with his brothers.

Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the film, which co-stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day remains set for July 31st 2026.
