Tom Cruise is reportedly circling a role in Quentin Tarantino’s tenth and supposedly final directorial effort “The Movie Critic”.

The InSneider broke the news, reporting that Cruise is rearranging his schedule to accommodate a small role or cameo in the movie.

Cruise is said to be trying to make it work either around or following more shooting on the eighth “Mission: Impossible” film which will keep Cruise occupied throughout 2024.

Tarantino himself has spoken fondly of Cruise, saying back in 2019 that “he’s a great guy and we really hit it off”.

“The Movie Critic” will see Tarantino re-teaming with Brad Pitt for a third time. The movie is set in Southern California in 1977 and revolves around a cynical movie critic Tarantino read growing up who would write great reviews for skin mags.

It’s also expected to include recreations of films from the era but with alterations, most notably the Paul Schrader-penned “Rolling Thunder,” which is where we’ll likely see the most cameos.

Filming is expected to get underway soon in California.
