A new behind-the-scenes photo has been released from the upcoming “I Know What You Did Last Summer” legacy sequel which is currently in production ahead of a release next year.
The shot, posted on the official social media channels of the film, shows off the famed fisherman’s hook that killer Ben Willis wielded in the films along with part of a raincoat.
As it’s a continuation many years later, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt have signed on to reprise their respective roles as Ray Bronson and Julie James. Plot details however are under wraps.
Joining them will be Jonah Hauer-King, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Chase Sui Wonders, Tyriq Withers, Lola Tung, Austin Nichols, Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Gabbriette.
The film is being directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson from a screenplay she co-wrote with Sam Lansky, Jeff Howard, and Leah McKendrick. Neal Moritz produces.
The new “I Know What You Did Last Summer” opens in cinemas July 18th 2025.
