The first trailer has been released for “Den of Thieves 2: Pantera,” the sequel to the Gerard Butler-led 2018 heist thriller film “Den of Thieves”.
The first film’s helmer Christian Gudegast is back as writer and director for this outing. In the film Big Nick (Gerard Butler) is back on the hunt in Europe and closing in on Donnie Wilson (O’Shea Jackson Jr.).
Donnie has become embroiled in the treacherous and unpredictable world of diamond thieves and the infamous Panther mafia as they plot a massive heist of the world’s largest diamond exchange.
Also starring are Michael Bisping, Salvatore Esposito, Orli Shuka, Evin Ahmad, Cristian Solimeno, Nazmiye Oral, Yasen Zates Atour, Giuseppe Schillaci, Dino Kelly, Rico Verhoeven, Velibor Topic, and Antonio Bustorff.
STXfilms released the first film in January 2018. Dubbed a “brain dead version of Michael Mann’s ‘Heat’”, the film was a minor hit with approximately $80.5 million made at the global box office off an estimated $30 million budget. Pablo Schreiber and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson co-starred in that film.
“Den of Thieves 2: Pantera” will be released in United States cinemas on January 15th 2025 by Lionsgate Films.
