Disney has revealed that the third-season premiere of its acclaimed restaurant kitchen set ‘comedy’ series “The Bear” reached 5.4 million views in its first four days of availability on Hulu.
That’s 24% more views than the Season 2 premiere achieved in the same amount of time. It’s a second consecutive season of growth for “The Bear” which saw a 70% viewership jump between the first two seasons.
The launch broke the record of the best performance ever for an FX premiere on Hulu, and was also the most-watched season premiere for any scripted series on Hulu to date.
Overall, including unscripted series, “The Bear” season three launch was Hulu’s third-biggest season premiere of all time.
The viewership accounts for Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ in the U.S., and on the Star section of Disney+ in international territories where the episode was available.
Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colon-Zayas, Matty Matheson, Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon star in the show with the full third season is currently available in full.
