By “Sideways” and “Spider-Man 3” star Thomas Haden Church is the latest to join the cast of Rian Johnson’s third “Knives Out” movie titled “Wake Up Dead Man”.
He marks the tenth new actor to officially join the line-up which includes Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, Daryl McCormack, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner and Josh Brolin.
Daniel Craig returns as Southern-accented private investigator Benoit Blanc in the film which will have a different tone and setting.
Blanc is expected to solve a new murder mystery in a yet-to-be-disclosed setting and another colorful array of suspects.
Further story and character specifics are being kept under wraps. Production is set to begin in the U.K. in June. Johnson and Ram Bergman are producing with plans for a late 2025 release.
Haden Church is coming off a turn in Peacock’s “Twisted Metal” series and is currently at work on the third chapter of Kevin Costner’s four-film western “Horizon: An American Saga” which is releasing its first chapter this month.
