Michelle Pfeiffer made her name in movies, but more recently has been a fixture on TV with this year’s streaming series like Apple TV’s “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” and Paramount+ series “The Madison”.

That switch to television has obviously excited her, going by comments she made during the “Leading the Narrative: The Women of Apple TV” event recently, where she made a pretty bold statement to THR:

“I never want to star in another movie, I swear to God. I only want to do ensemble pieces. It’s so much more fun, I love it so much. “

Pfeiffer stars in and executive produces both shows, both of which have also scored renewals. She says a big part of the appeal of television for her has been the female performances she’s seen and the way the characters are complicated and flawed.

Fellow Emmy nominees Elle Fanning, Dale Dickey, Karolina Wydra, Rhea Seehorn and Jessica Williams all showed up for the event as well.

Pfeiffer’s only two films of the past five years were the Michael Showalter-directed comedy “Oh. What. Fun.” released last year, and 2023’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”.
