A fierce bidding war has been won for Fast Five and Star Trek Beyond director Justin Lin’s latest project. Apple Original Films has won the war, and they will get Two for the Money, a new heist thriller that stars Charlize Theron and Daniel Craig.

Fast X co-writer Dan Mazeau is writing the script for Lin, with Lin, Theron, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Joe Roth producing.

The exact plot is secret, but rumor is that it focuses on the relationship between two master thieves played by the two stars. This develops over three major jobs and involves snappy rapport, competition, and more.

Lin and Mazeau reportedly came up with the idea for the project during their time prepping Fast X, before he exited. They pitched Theron on the Fast X set, who suggested Craig as her co-star.

Apple is building a respectable set of movie content. Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, Ridley Scott’s Napoleon, and Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle are all Apple movie projects that will land on the streamer after their theatrical release, and now Two For The Money will join them.
