Humans are about to be wiped out, but it’s OK, Jennifer Lopez is here to save us. She stars in a new movie from Netflix, called Atlas, here is a trailer.
Well, this is a movie that now exists. It looks like every sci-fi movie ever made but with Jennifer Lopez. The official blurb for Atlas is:
A bleak-sounding future, where an A.I. soldier has determined the only way to end war is to end humanity.
*cough* Skynet *cough* It’s always something trying to kill humanity, AI, aliens, a zombie pandemic. This time they went with AI, in the form of Simu Liu. Atlas stars Lopez, Liu, Sterling K. Brown, Gregory James Cohan, Abraham Popoola, Lana Parrilla and Mark Strong.
Brad Peyton is directing and is known for San Andreas and Rampage. Hmmm, both of them are CG heavy action flix starring The Rock. Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite are writers. Sardarian is a newcomer, but Coleite is known for things like Heroes, Locke & Key and Star Trek: Discovery.
Altas looks like it has a huge budget, but that’s not saying much these days. You have to give it credit, there are lots of explosions, and that’s a good thing, right?
Atlas will be streaming on Netflix on 24th May. We’ll be drawing straws on who’s going to have to review it, that’s if we review it at all.
