American-born British actor Chance Perdomo has died as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was just 27.
Perdomo is mostly known for three roles. He first came to many’s attention as Ambrose Spellman, Sabrina’s warlock cousin under house arrest, in Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”.
More recently he’s known for his work as the magnetic manipulator Andre Anderson in “The Boys” spin-off “Gen V”. Perdomo was slated to begin filming the second season of “Gen V” in the next week or so.
Perdomo was also known for his supporting role of Landon Gibson in the “After We Fall” film trilogy and scored a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor for his work in the BBC3 telemovie “Killed by My Debt”. He also had a recurring role in the kids series “Hetty Feather,” and voiced the BBC thriller “The Cipher”.
A statement from his reps says:
“His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”
The producers of “Gen V” have released a statement as well, saying:
“We can’t quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person. Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”
Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends and fans.
