More have joined the second season of Crave and HBO Max’s “Heated Rivalry” for its second season, including an unexpected “Resident Evil” star.

Milla Jovovich leads the three newcomers in the role of Dr. Galina Molchalin, a Russian-speaking psychologist based in Ottawa whom Ilya Rosinov (Connor Storrie) is seeing.

They work together to unpack some of Ilya’s trauma surrounding the death of his mother, his difficult relationship with his father, and discontent in his relationship with Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams).

Also joining the cast are Kevin Zegers as Coach Brandon Weibe, who is the rookie head coach of the Ottawa Centaurs team, and Paul Gross as hockey league commissioner Roger Crowell, who has a beef with Weibe.

They join other newcomers like Charlie Gillespie, Justice Smith, Daniel Diemer, Shaheen Jafargholi, Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, Robert Naylor, Sabrina Jalees and Priyanka.

Returnees include François Arnaud, Robbie G.K., Christina Chang, Dylan Walsh, Sophie Nélisse, Daniela Kharlamova, Callan Potter, Benjamin Roy, and Kamilla Kowal.

Filming on the second season continues in Canada though to later in the year and explores how Shane and Ilya, now in a committed relationship with one another, learn how to build a life together while hiding their true feelings for one another in public.
