“I can tell you two are going to get along without a hitch.” IFC Films + Shudder revealed the official trailer for an indie horror film titled Breeder, a freaky tale from filmmaker Alex Goyette making his feature debut after many other shorts. Breeder premiered at the 2026 Tribeca Film Festival this summer, also playing recently at the Octopus Film Festival in Poland. An eccentric poodle breeder lures a broke college student to her remote ranch with a promise of research funding. But, as he soon learns, there’s a catch – he must be the stud of her next litter. What’s really going on? You’ll have to watch & find out. Starring Daniel Doheny as Russell, Dot-Marie Jones as Patti, Maddie Phillips as Ainsley, Tanaya Beatty & Paige McGarvin. Tribeca drops spicy details: “Breeder is as WTF-worthy as it is entertaining. Goyette’s wild feature debut is the darkest of dark comedies, mining uncomfortable laughs from the absurd… also an unpredictable horror ride, its insanity ratcheting up from scene to scene and its wicked malevolence resting on the shoulders of co-star Jones in one hell of a villain performance.” This totally wicked and crazy! Yowza. Check it out below. // Continue Reading ›
