Funny the things you find when you log into the internet. I’m browsing YouTube, and I see a trailer for Hen. That must be AI, I think to myself, but no, it’s real.
After watching the trailer, I actually thought to myself, I kind of want to see it now! It looks more engaging than most Hollywood movies, and that chicken is cuter than Grogu.
Hen stars Yannis Kokiasmenos, Maria Diakopanayotou, Ayguris Pandazaras, Antonis Kafetzopolous, and Dimitris Pelekis. Gyorgy Palfi is the director and co-writes with Zsofia Ruttkay. The story is:
Seen through a chicken’s eyes, Hen follows an escapee to a decaying Greek seaside restaurant, protecting her eggs whilst observing the complexity of human lives.
Human life as seen through the eyes of a chicken, I mean, what more could you ask for? Decent recipes, I guess, ones that are clucking delicious.
Finding Hen on the IMDb, it turns out that the main star is played by eight separate Hungarian chickens named Eszti, Szandi, Feri, Enci, Eti, Eniko, Nora, and Anett. #TheMoreYouKnow
I used to have a house chicken that lived with me. She would give me about 5-6 eggs a week, which were fresh and had a bright yellow yolk. If you haven’t had fresh eggs, I highly recommend them. Here we are watching TV together.
Hen is out in Hungary, but I cannot see a release date for the rest of the world. I will find it, oh, I will be reviewing this.
They can also do a prequel to Hen, Egg: The Early Years, and a prequel Pie: The Crusty Topping. Feel free to make your own chicken-related jokes.
