James Cameron’s “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” is returning to the big screen for the film’s 35th anniversary.

Rialto Pictures and StudioCanal are behind the eight-week limited engagement, which begins May 22nd at select cinemas.

The film will be available in for different formats – the original 35mm and 70mm prints, 4K DCP, and 3D DCP digital restorations.

Participating cinemas include the IFC Center in New York, American Cinematheque in Los Angeles, and AFI Silver in DC.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong, and Robert Patrick star in the film in which a reprogrammed T-800 is sent back in time to protect 10-year-old John Connor from the shape-shifting T-1000.

John, his mother Sarah, and the cyborg set out to stop Skynet from ever triggering a nuclear apocalypse. The film grossed over $200 million at the domestic box office and earned Oscars for make-up, sound, sound effects editing and visual effects.
