A reveal trailer has been released for “A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead,” a new video game set within the “A Quiet Place” film franchise that will release later this year.
Developed by Stormind Games (“Remothered”) and published by Saber Interactive (“Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic”), the game is described as a first-person, single-player, story-driven horror adventure game.
The clip shown has gameplay that feels not unlike that of “Alien Isolation” where stealth and avoiding detection of the creatures is key. Players must make very minimal or no sound.
In the game, you experience the journey of a young woman struggling to endure not only the nightmarish creatures of the apocalypse but also the anguish of interpersonal family conflicts and her own inner fears.
With nothing more than your wits and the simple tools you can scavenge, you must overcome the many treacherous challenges and obstacles that lay ahead, all while trying to survive an ever-present threat of the unknown enemies.
The reveal trailer comes ahead of the spin-off film “A Quiet Place: Day One” which opens this month. ‘The Road Ahead’ will be on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X sometime later this year.
