After years stuck in development and pre-production, it looks like Marvel Studios’ “Blade” may finally get its cameras rolling.

A new listing on Production Weekly (via World of Reel) indicates that shooting on the project will begin in the Fall which would be in line with the most recent release date listing which suggests a November 7th 2025 opening.

There have also been reports about a potential delay to 2026, but that hasn’t been confirmed at this time.

Multiple writers have gone through the project including Stacy Osei-Kuffour, Michael Starrbury, Beau DeMayo, Nic Pizzolatto and most recently “Logan” scribe Michael Green. It appears Green is the one to have finally cracked the script.

Star Mahershala Ali remains committed to the film but co-star Aaron Pierre bowed out earlier this month. French filmmaker Yann Demange will helm the film which is expected to be R-rated and come in at under $100 million.
