Heartstopper
Emmy winner Olivia Colman has confirmed she will not return for the third season of Netflix’s British coming-out comedy “Heartstopper”.
Colman recurred as Sarah Nelson, mother to Nick Nelson (Kit Connor), and told Forbes: “I couldn’t do number three. I couldn’t fit it in. I feel awful about that. I feel like I was part of one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever been part of.” [Source: THR]
War Machine
“Reacher” star Alan Ritchson is set to star in the Lionsgate and Netflix action/sci-fi feature “War Machine” from filmmaker Patrick Hughes (“The Hitman’s Bodyguard”). Hughes came up with the story and wrote the script with James Beaufort.
The film takes place during the final 24 Hours of the world’s toughest selection process as a team of Army Rangers encounter a threat beyond their imagination. Todd Lieberman, Alex Young, Greg McLean and Rich Cook produce.
Ritchson is currently filming action-comedy “Playdate” and will soon resume production on the third season of Amazon Prime’s “Reacher”. He’ll be seen in cinemas next month in Guy Ritchie’s “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare”. [Source: Deadline]
Fear Street: Prom Queen
India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, Chris Klein, Lili Taylor and Katherine Waterston have been set as the cast of the fourth “Fear Street” film at Netflix.
Set during prom season at Shadyside High in 1988 as the school’s It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. A gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court, and soon other girls start mysteriously disappearing.
Matt Palmer and Donald McLeary are adapting the novel from R.L. Stine’s popular book series, with Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kori Adelson producing. [Source: THR]
