By The full-length official trailer has arrived for Ncuti Gatwa’s first full season as the new The Doctor in “Doctor Who” for the BBC and Disney+ service.
Gatwa first appeared in the third of David Tennant’s three 60th anniversary specials and was joined by his new companion Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) in last year’s Christmas special.
This will continue the adventure that began with that special as The Doctor (Gatwa) and Ruby (Gibson) embark on adventures. As previously reported, this is being dubbed ‘Season 1’’as opposed to Season 14.
Numerous guest stars including Jonathan Groff, Indira Varma and Jinkx Monsoon can be seen in the trailer along with numerous CG creatures,
The trailer also shows off the various guests and time period visits the show has this season as well as ties back to the mystery around Ruby’s origin that began with the Xmas special.
The new season of “Doctor Who” will debut on Friday May 10th at 7pm US-ET on Disney+ in the U.S. and at 12am on Saturday May 11th on BBC iPlayer in the UK. Episodes will air later that day on BBC One.
