“Justified: City Primeval” premiered on FX last year, reviving the cabler’s critically acclaimed neo-Western crime drama “Justified” which had wrapped back in 2015 after six seasons.

However, it was mostly absent one obvious participant, actor Walton Goggins, who didn’t reprise his iconic role of Boyd Crowder on the revival series until the last few minutes of the finale.

Despite great reviews, FX has yet to renew the series for a second season and so it seems Timothy Olyphant’s Raylan Givens may have handled his last case.

Should it go ahead though, Goggins tells Screen Rant this week at SXSW that he and basically all the team on the show would be onboard for it:

“There’s always a future in my imagination. Always. I think everybody – all the players involved – want another lap. I didn’t anticipate that, and it took a while to kind of jump back into that.

But once we did it, we kind of kept it from everybody. I had such a good time, and I think Tim was inspired. And there is more to say, actually. I didn’t think there was, but there is.

Everything is in line. I think everybody’s just waiting for schedules and FX to say, ‘Go.’ We’ll see. We’ll see what happens.”

How well the show performed hasn’t been revealed. The eight-episode run went from July 18th to August 29th.
