HBO chief Casey Bloys appeared at a press event this morning to address the Rolling Stone report yesterday about fake Twitter accounts (dubbing it a “very dumb move”).

At the same time, he revealed the status and potential release windows of various high-profile HBO series.

The eight-episode second season of the acclaimed “Game of Thrones” prequel series “House of the Dragon” will air in the early Summer of 2024.

The season has wrapped filming and is currently in post-production. Due to its UK shoot and Equity contracts, the series was able to be shot during the actor’s strike.

He also confirms the next ‘Thrones’ spin-off, “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight,” hopes to begin shooting in the Spring. No casting has yet been announced.

No other ‘Thrones’ concepts are said to be near to a greenlight as yet.

In terms of other shows – the second season of “The Last of Us” aims to begin production in Spring 2024 for airing in 2025. Also pushed to a 2025 airing is the third season of “The White Lotus,” the third season of “Euphoria” and the “IT” prequel series “Welcome to Derry”.

Separately Decider’s Meghan O’Keefe spoke with Bloys who said the fate of a third season of “Our Flag Means Death” is undecided as they’re waiting to see how it performs in a longer window.

Also “The Batman” spin-off series “The Penguin,” which was to air Spring 2024, has been pushed to Fall 2024 due to the strikes.

Additionally Alan Sepinwall reports that the planned Barry Jenkins-directed “The Knick” continuation has been scrapped as the scripts didn’t work.

For now it seems like the network’s 2024 slate will be:

Winter: True Detective S4, Curb You Enthusiasm S2

Spring: The Regime, The Sympathizer, The Jinx: Part Two, Hacks S3, Tokyo Vice S2, Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, Sex Lives of College Girls S3

Summer: House of the Dragon S2, My Brilliant Friend S4, Industry S3

Fall: The Penguin, Dune: Prophecy, The Franchise
