Hulu has ordered two more seasons of ten episodes each of the animated “Futurama” series revival from creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen.

Hulu initially picked up the show in 2022 for two seasons and twenty episodes in total with the first ten episodes, dubbed Season 11, which premiered in July. Season 12 will premiere in 2024.

The new order will take the show through Season 14 and theoretically see the series on the air until at least 2026.

The renewal continues the show’s long life following its beginnings as a FOX series in 1999 where it lasted five seasons on the broadcast network.

It was cancelled in 2003, revived for four direct-to-DVD movies in 2007, then revived again for a further 52 episodes across four seasons at Comedy Central which aired from 2010-13.

The show has been a success for Hulu and made Nielsen’s top 10 original streaming series six times during the recent run. The series has also become a key part of the streamer’s adult animation brand.
