If like me, you grew up in the 80s, it was one of the most creative times in the cinema, Back to the Future, Die Hard, E.T., The Thing, to name just a few. There are so many movies you could name from the 80s that aren’t just good, they are amazing.
It’s now 2022 and things aren’t so good. All we seem to get these days are reboots, redos and prequels, and sequels of beloved franchises. Not only is it remaking stuff, but it’s also filled with race and gender swaps and making sure the ‘message’ is preached.
In this day and age, we do get the occasional new things, but it’s so far and few between, that you have to keep your eye peeled or you’ll miss them.
Today’s livestream asks if there is anything good that’s new. We’ll talk about the announcements at D23 and what Disney has planned, most of which are things like Little Mermaid. Another live-action reboot of a beloved original animation.

We are also trying a new stream service today, so it should mean that all the voices are in sync, there are no technical hiccups and everything will run smoothly. Oh, who am I kidding? Yoda is still in charge, it’ll be worth watching just to see him stress.
