Rhys Frake-Waterfield’s ultra low-budget horror film “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” swept this year’s Razzie Awards celebrating the worst in film over the year.
The title won worst picture, director, screenplay, screen couple for ‘Pooh & Piglet’, and worst remake/rip-off/sequel – easily beating everyone else.
In the acting categories Jon Voight’s turn in “Mercy” was deemed worst actor, and Sylvester Stallone took worst supporting actor for “Expend4bles”. Megan Fox won worst actress and supporting actress for “Johnny & Clyde” and “Expend4bles” respectively.
The group’s annual Redeemer Award, which effectively takes back an award or nomination for someone who has done well, went this year to former “The Nanny” star and SAG-AFTRA chief Fran Drescher.
Drescher was previously a Razzie nominee for the film “The Beautician and the Beast” nearly three decades ago.
The Mean Gays (comedians Aaron Goldenberg and Jake Jonez) hosted the virtual ceremony which took place one day before the 96th Academy Awards.
