Brian Tee (“Expats”), Johnny Berchtold (“The Passenger”), Roberto Montesinos (“Father Stu”) and Daniel David Stewart (“For All Mankind”) will all join the cast of the currently shooting third season of “Reacher” on Amazon’s Prime Video.
The new season is based on Lee Child’s novel “Persuader”. In it, Jack Reacher inadvertently witnesses an attempted kidnapping and becomes caught up in a complex operation with the DEA.
The operation’s goal? To infiltrate and take down a notorious drug trafficker Zachary Beck (Anthony Michael Hall) who operates from a heavily fortified lakeside mansion.
Reacher has to also set a personal vendetta against Francis Xavier Quinn, a former military police officer like Reacher who is now working for Beck and who murdered a woman Reacher was close to.
Tee will play Quinn. Berchtold is Richard Beck, the college-age son of Zachary, who is still grieving over his mother’s death.
Montesinos will play soon-to-retire DEA agent Guillermo Villanueva who is mentor/father figure to the season’s female lead – DEA agent Susan Duffy (Sonya Cassiday).
Stewart will play fresh-faced rookie DEA agent Steven Elliot. Alan Ritchson returns as Reacher whilst Maria Sten is also back as Frances Neagley.
The show’s second season launched in December and was the number one title on Prime Video worldwide across both series and movies in 2023. The second season does not currently have a premiere date.
