AMC Theaters has announced it will release three Nicole Kidman-led commercials in its theaters starting in March.
On Friday, a new 30-second version of the famous “We Make Movies Better” ad, which sees Kidman walking around an empty cinema, will make its theatrical debut at AMC locations nationwide.
AMC Theatres will then rotate in two other 30 second never-before-seen-in-theaters versions of the original 60-second pre-show ad in the coming months.
Speaking after a quarterly earnings call, AMC Theaters CEO Adam Aron says:
“For the first time in four years, starting in a couple of days, we are putting up a new preshow on the screen [and] we’re moving into phase two of the Nicole Kidman campaign.”
So what was one 60 second commercial will be replaced by a randomly selected one of three 30-second commercials to be changed up between sessions.
The timing of the new ads come as many are heading back to the cinemas from Friday for the release of “Dune: Part Two”.
